I write songs the only way I know how — from real life. Every melody and lyric comes from the roads I’ve walked, the battles I’ve fought, and the love that’s carried me through.
Music has been with me for over 50 years. After losing most of my hearing, I lost music in my life as well. a devatating blow to live with for me.
Recently I found a way, with the help of Steve Harvey, to rebuilt my craft using modern tools as instruments, not shortcuts.
This allows me to re-energize my love of songwriting and music and continue telling the truth the only way I know how. It is a true blessing for me, and I am grateful.
